A Caregiver

One of the hardest parts of my life is caring for an elderly parent. While I am lucky to have time with my mother it’s a never ending cycle of doctor appointments and surgeries, over the last five years I have spent so much time at the hospital I wonder why they haven’t assigned me my own parking spot. The past few months it’s gotten harder, I am no longer allowed to go to her appointments so I wait in the car and hope she remembers to tell me everything. Thank goodness for stitching. And a big shout out to my fellow care givers, hang in there and know you are doing your best.
