A Caregiver

Image
One of the hardest parts of my life is caring for an elderly parent. While I am lucky to have time with my mother it’s a never ending cycle of doctor appointments and surgeries, over the last five years I have spent so much time at the hospital I wonder why they haven’t assigned me my own parking spot. The past few months it’s gotten harder, I am no longer allowed to go to her appointments so I wait in the car and hope she remembers to tell me everything. Thank goodness for stitching. And a big shout out to my fellow care givers, hang in there and know you are doing your best. Current WIP (work in progress) Gingham Greeting by StitchingHousewives for Jolly July

Life is a Journey

In May of 2018 I turned 40, at the time I wasn't upset to be reaching this milestone  in a lot of ways I felt I knew myself and was secure in who I had become.  The ABC's of Aging Artfully Chart by Lizzie Kate  Flash forward a couple of years, now at 42 I realize maybe I don't have it together  like  I thought I did. I still have so much to learn and places to grow.  I am not at all satisfied with who I am.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog. I am not sure where this venture will take me but I am creating this space to capture my favorite hobby cross stitching! But I also see it as a space to share my other endeavors including a journey towards better mental and physical health.
